TWC Breaks Weekly Sales Record
Leading home improvement business, TWC, has officially broken its long-standing weekly sales record, having posted figures well in excess of £250,000.
Part of the Conservatory Outlet Network, the Swindon-based business registered total sales of just over £289,000 from Monday 25th – Sunday 31st January, marking the most successful seven-day period in the company’s nine-year history.
Adopting a bold sales strategy in response to the latest COVID-19 lockdown, the company surpassed its previous weekly record whilst selling exclusively online. The TWC team took to Zoom and other video conferencing software to bring their industry-leading products to life, utilising Conservatory Outlet’s bespoke digital window & door design package to allow homeowners to select and design projects in real-time.
Having sold almost exclusively via Zoom since the first UK-wide lockdown in March 2020, TWC has continued to hone and perfect its online sales approach, effectively removing the immediate need for face-to-face appointments.
Andrew Hill, Managing Director at TWC, said he was delighted to have broken the sales record: “Following the easing of the initial lockdown last summer, we took the collective decision to continue to deliver most of our sales operations virtually, rather than in person. Around 70% of our appointments were still taking place on Zoom even after things had reopened, it seemed like the next logical step to move everything entirely back online once restrictions began to be reintroduced earlier this year.
“The dedication and pragmatism of our sales team has meant that the move towards virtual sales has been a seamless and hugely successful process, evidenced by last weeks record-breaking sales total. We see no reason why this would slow down and look forward to many more record-breaking weeks over the coming months.”
Greg Kane, CEO at Conservatory Outlet Group, added: “TWC has quickly become a shining example of the power and effectiveness of virtual sales. Their work following the first national lockdown has been nothing short of outstanding, paving the way for our other Network members to follow suit and capitalise on an incredibly buoyant marketplace. It’s fantastic to see the TWC team reaping the rewards of their exceptional work.”
