5 Star Complete a Trio of Record-Breaking Months
Leading installation business, 5 Star Windows & Conservatories, has broken its sales record for the third time in as many months, marking the most successful period in the company’s 18-year history.
Part of the Conservatory Outlet Network, the West-midlands based business saw record-breaking sales figures of just over £930k in September, having already smashed its sales record in August and July with figures of £860k and £850k respectively. Prior to the summer, the previous monthly sales record had stood for over two years.
The unprecedented and sustained period of success has been largely attributed to 5 Star’s energetic approach to sales and marketing during lockdown. The 5 Star team were quick to proactively establish a virtual sales appointment process which ensured a steady stream of orders, without the need to visit customers’ homes. Buoyed by a healthy appetite within the home improvement market as a whole, the virtual sales appointments were met with incredibly high demand.
With a continued investment in digital marketing, 5 Star were able to maintain pre-Covid levels of enquiries during lockdown and, once restrictions were lifted, returned to the ‘new normal’ with an incredibly healthy order book. By the time 5 Star reopened its showrooms in line with Government protocols on 11th May, demand was higher than ever and continued to snowball throughout the rest of the summer.
Andrew O’Neill, Sales & Operations Director at 5 Star, said: “We took the decision to be as proactive as possible during lockdown, in the hopes of positioning ourselves for a strong return once we reopened. We were extremely confident in our ability to offer an excellent online service to customers, irrespective of the fact that we couldn’t carry out home visits.
“The results speak for themselves, as a mixture of increased industry demand and strong sales leads saw us break our sales record for three consecutive months. It’s a period of sustained success that we are all absolutely blown away by, and our sales team deserve a huge amount of credit for their commitment and buy-in during such turbulent times. Add in the fact that our Trade Counter is supplementing our monthly sales, in many cases taking the total figure to over £1m, and we are shaping up for a hugely successful end to the year.”
Greg Kane, CEO at Conservatory Outlet, concluded: “The unprecedented levels of success that 5 Star have experienced over the past few months is testament to their incredible drive and work ethic. They were amongst the first of our Network members to get onboard with virtual sales appointments and it provided them with a fantastic customer base ahead of their return at the start of May. A huge congratulations to Richard, Andrew and the rest of the 5 Star team, I look forward to seeing many more record-breaking months in the near future.”
