Conservatory Outlet Expands Internal Audit Team
Conservatory Outlet Ltd has continued its commitment to continuous improvement with the addition of six new members to its internal audit team.
The Wakefield-based company, which provides cutting-edge home improvement products to a UK-wide network of customers, has announced the expansion of the audit team as it works towards the continuation of the BSI ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management accreditation.
Recognised globally, the BSI Kitemark is the ultimate seal of approval from a quality and safety standpoint, ensuring Conservatory Outlet’s products and procedures have been tested and checked to the highest possible standard. BSI audits are conducted by an external auditor every six months to ensure these standards are met year-round.
The new team members, who have been chosen from a number of different areas of the business, will now carry out a series of internal audits in a bid to provide valuable insight into the company’s operating procedures, policies, compliance and risk management controls. In line with the BSI criteria, the team will be responsible for conducting audits within individual areas of the business, as well as assessing existing procedural documents, to provide valuable feedback and analysis.
News of the revamped audit team follows the addition of several new members in late 2019. Conservatory Outlet’s next BSI audit is set to take place on 2nd October.
John Olkiewicz, Quality and Technical Manager at Conservatory Outlet, said: “The expansion of our internal audit team will allow us to develop our internal audit programme and increase the frequency of audits. This should lead to the improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of operational procedures and processes, our Quality Management System and ultimately our products and services. By making sure things are working properly and continually improving, we can meet our customer’s expectations whilst improving the business.”
Mick Giscombe, Managing Director at Conservatory Outlet, concludes: “We take great pride in our ongoing BSI accreditation, it’s the ultimate acknowledgement that our products are produced to the highest possible standard. It provides valuable reassurance to our customers that we go above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring we produce quality products, day in, day out. The internal audit team forms a key part of the strategy and it’s great to see it continue to go from strength to strength.”
