A Premium Retailer designed and built this stunning extension with two feature roof lanterns.
Having moved into their home in the 1990s, the Watsons had over 30 years of happy memories associated with the property.
But, with space becoming limited, they came to the unfortunate realisation that the space they had was not fit for them, or their growing extended family.
Their first preference was to renovate and extend, ensuring the family home remained just that; a space for them, their children and their grandchildren. They approached several builders and sub-contractors and were unconvinced about the proposals they received. They even considered selling and looking for a new property nearby.
However, after speaking with a Premium Retailer, that all changed.
Where others failed, the Premium Retailer’s design team created a stunning extension that would provide them with the space they needed and breathe new life into the much-loved family home.
The new space featured two glazed roof lanterns, which became the standout feature of the design. The two roof lanterns allow for large volumes of natural light to illuminate the space inside, creating a welcoming environment all year round.
Access to and from the rear of the property was created through the inclusion of Eclipse bi-folding doors. With their large glass panels, these doors provided a perfect gateway to the garden.
Inside, the space created a seamless connection between the living room and kitchen. This fantastic extension provided the Watsons with the extra space they needed, be it for themselves, their friends or their family.
As well as designing a brilliant space for the Watsons and their family, this beautiful extension received a special commendation in the GGP Installer Awards.
